Peters-Hart Wedding

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you with love: Mr. and Mrs. Hart!

On Christmas Eve, the closest of friends gathered to celebrate the love story of Jeremy and Alexis. The micro wedding venue at Stories of A Lifetime was bursting with holiday joy for the bride and groom who wanted nothing more than to be each other’s forever Christmas present. It was a lovely honor to get to know Jeremy and Alexis and to unite them in marriage.

Enjoy a few excerpts from this special ceremony below.

Simplicity is often best, and by simply going to work and having a mutual friend there, Jeremy and Alexis as a couple simply came to be.

Alexis said, “I am immediately happy when I’m with Jeremy. He is my person that I want to do everything with for the rest of my life.”

Jeremy said, “I love everything about Alexis. She lights up the room! She understands me, and we fit together.”

Now, Jeremy and Alexis, all you must do is simply- live out your days enjoying the beautiful love you have for each other.

A sentiment you both embrace is this:

“If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.” (A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh)

The beloved Winnie the Pooh spoke those emotion-filled words to his dear friend, Piglet. May you always remember the childlike simplicity of your relationship. Time and circumstances can clutter our perspectives. Help each other to focus on the good between you and to focus on what really matters as you live out your days together. Hold hands, stick together, share your stash of honey, and remember that a good marriage doesn’t just happen, it is created by two people over time.

Vows

(Jeremy) Alexis, I take you as you are, loving who you are now and who you are yet to become.

I promise to appreciate you, to grow with you, and to be supportive of you.

I will cherish you always.

I will love you and have faith in your love for me,

through all our years together and all that life may bring us.

Your wedding promises are sealed with the exchange of these rings. Their circular shape symbolizes your unending commitment. These rings are a constant reminder of your partner’s presence in the world.

I’d also like to bless the hands that will wear these rings.

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours as you build a life together.

These are the hands that will cherish and comfort you through the years.

These are the hands that will wipe the tears from your eyes and give you solace and strength.

These are the hands that, even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours giving you unspoken reassurance and love.

May these hands strongly, proudly, lovingly bear these rings and forever hold each other.

Jeremy and Alexis, may your love be strong when life and love are simple, and may your love prove even stronger when life and love are challenging. May your marriage be modern enough to survive and thrive through the ever-changing years and old-fashioned enough to last forever. With blessings from God, you are no longer two but one family.

To Jeremy and Alexis and a lifetime of love! Cheers!
