Lukawski-Daley Wedding
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you with love: Mr. and Mrs. Daley!
Friends and family gathered at the historic Kemper Center Chapel on a gorgeous fall day to celebrate Scott and Stephanie’s love story. The couple united in marriage with a beautiful and personalized ceremony, and everyone enjoyed the afternoon festivities. It was a joy and honor to get to know the bride and groom and to officiate their wedding ceremony.
Enjoy a few excerpts from this special ceremony below.

Stephanie and Scott met as 2nd graders at Jeffery Elementary. Scott thought Stephanie was annoying, and Stephanie thought Scott had cooties. In middle school, they knew of each other, but nothing more. It wasn’t until they were in their 30s that Stephanie and Scott connected through mutual friends.
On this day, 6 years ago, Stephanie and Scott ventured out on their first date with each other, and the concerns of annoyingness and cooties were long gone. Actually, they found themselves to be quite compatible, even soul mates.
Scott said, “Stephanie is good-hearted, caring, and beautiful. I love how considerate of others she is and that she always has a positive outlook. I admire how passionate she is about being a teacher and helping children.”
Stephanie said, “Scott is a hard-working man. That’s an important trait I value from the first man I ever looked up to- my dad. I admire Scott’s abilities to build and fix things. He figures out our problems. I love that he is intelligent, honorable, trustworthy, honest, funny, and handsome.”
Scott is hard-working. Last summer, on Aug 7th, he even hauled rocks around a field to spell out “Marry Me.” Stephanie said, “Yes!” And Scott landed the love of his life- his greatest catch!

Scott and Stephanie are now going to take some symbolic action to represent their union by performing a sand ceremony.
Scott and Stephanie, this sand ceremony is a beautiful representation of the joining of your lives. You each chose a unique color of sand, and that represents your individuality. As the grains of sand get combined into this one vessel, your lives blend together as one family. Each color will always be visible, just as your uniqueness will always remain. However, once these grains of sand intermix, they will become inseparable- just like your union and devotion to each other. You are creating a beautiful, colorful, forever family.
