Cory Paul Schiller

Cory Schiller, Celebration of Life

Cory Paul Schiller

March 24th, 1991 – November 14th, 2024

*Author’s Note: The following excerpts in our “Life Stories” are from the Celebration of Life service for Cory Paul Schiller for you to read, reflect, and pay your respects privately. It was an honor to help Cory’s family pay tribute to his beautiful life. Cory was learning to play the violin, and the service opened with some violin music that he found comforting and enjoyable. Loving sentiments were shared by Cory’s brother, Chad. Cory was laid to rest at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha, WI. Cory will be dearly missed by many.

It does feel like Cory’s 33 years went by way too quickly. While no length of time with our loved ones will ever seem long enough, it is an absolute blessing to have had Cory present on this earth for over 3 decades. His time here and his time spent with each of you was a precious gift. When your world is feeling a little too empty, may you fill it with gratitude that your time here overlapped with Cory’s and that you were blessed to know him.

Cory would not want your heart to be troubled. He’d be telling you that everything is okay. May you feel surrounded by the love of all the beautiful memories he built with you. May you find peace in the ways you find Cory to still be part of your present, and may you find hope in being reunited with him again someday in the kingdom of God.

Cory was known for being a helper. He would drop anything to be there for you- without hesitation. What a beautiful gift he was to each of you- to know you had someone who cared about you so much.

Cory grew up in Kenosha, he was a boy scout, and he graduated from Bradford High School. He worked at Advance Auto Parts for over ten years, and he most recently worked at Meijer where his mom also works. Cory loved spending time with his brother, Chad. The two boys had a great bond. A cherished memory was a family vacation to Disney World where the boys got to sleep in bunk beds and Cory was mesmerized by the Buzz Lightyear ride. Family time was the best, and the years go by so quickly.

Cory had a passion for cooking, and he had excellent culinary skills. He immensely enjoyed cooking, and when he prepared a meal for you, he was showing you how much he loved you. He enjoyed fishing, camping, video games, and most importantly time with family and friends. He truly loved family gatherings.

Cory was quiet and not too keen on receiving compliments, but his mom and family want everyone to know how wonderful of a person he was and that he was so deeply loved.

There are so many stories to tell and memories to relive. One doesn’t know where to even start. Start today by sharing memories and a meal together with the family. And then share the memories and the love in the days and years to come so that Cory’s legacy may endure.

Look to the good times. Learn the lessons. Choose happiness. Enjoy time with loved ones, cook a meal and think of how Cory would’ve enjoyed preparing it, be a helper, be someone others can count on, eat some gummy bears, and live on with the faith that in some way Cory’s love will always be with you.

Cory will be forever loved and missed by his parents Jerry and Kelly, his brother Chad, his grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many dear friends.

Cory, may you rest in eternal peace knowing you are dearly loved.

My sincere condolences and love, Holly
