Ortega Wedding

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you with love: Mr. and Mrs. Ortega!

Loved ones gathered for an August day of fun on the farm celebrating Diego and Elizabeth. The setting at Bristol Hill Farm was picturesque from every angle, and friends and family enjoyed each precious moment. It was a lovely honor to get to know the bride and groom and to unite them in marriage.

Enjoy a few excerpts from this joyful ceremony below.

As middle schoolers at Mitchell in Racine, it was not love at first sight for Diego and Elizabeth. Elizabeth said that Diego just wanted all the attention, and she didn’t like that. Diego said Elizabeth looked mean, and he was scared to talk to her. Years later, after graduating high school, Elizabeth and Diego reconnected at a friend’s house. A friendly conversation between the two of them revealed that Elizabeth had a sense of humor and was fun to talk with and that Diego could pay attention to someone other than himself.

Finding each other far from their middle school misconceptions, in August of 2017, Diego and Elizabeth discovered that they actually like each other and began dating. They enjoy nature walks at Pets Park, family game nights, bowling, and watching movies together. They welcomed two incredible children into the world, Kaiden and Malia. They have grown into such a beautiful family together.

On Christmas Eve 2020, Diego completely surprised Elizabeth with a heartfelt marriage proposal, and she readily exclaimed, “Yes!” It is with so much love that these two chose to unite in marriage today.

Diego and Elizabeth, with the wisdom of the years, with eyes and hearts wide open, and with blessings from God, you are called to be each other’s love story and embrace your happily ever after together.
