Korri Wedding

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you for always: Mr. & Mrs. Korri!

At noon on a Tuesday, Dex and Jessica celebrated their love and secured their union with the sweetest at-home ceremony surrounded by their family and closest friends. Their home is filled with hope and love, and their pure joy to be together lights up any room. This relaxed, loving couple embodies the phrase “meant to be together,” and I was honored to help them tie the knot.

Enjoy a few excerpts from this special ceremony.

Friends since they were 12 and 13-years old, Dex and Jessica met in their neighborhood and grew up together. Each with a secret crush on the other, it took decades for their love story to come together. But here they are now, with Jessica’s three children, Mariah, Hailey, and Jerome, and one child together, Autumn, ready to be united as a family. With their faith in each other and their faith in God, may their marriage be a blessing for their family.

Love sustained their friendships all these years and may love sustain their marriage. May your joys be as bright as the morning and your sorrows merely be shadows that fade in the sunlight of love.

A Reading from 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, 13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The Word of the Lord.

Your union is based on love, but love isn’t just a feeling it’s an action. We have heard before that love is patient, love is kind, love protects. Love is actions. These actions can be quite simple to be powerful and to be everything you truly need. Share, play fair, hold hands, stick together, laugh. Your vows express the actions you promise to take to show your commitment and faithfulness to each other. And you must carry out the actions of your vows all the days of your lives to perpetually secure your union.
