Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you for the first time and for always, as husband and wife, Nicole and Ed!

The Stella ballroom in downtown Kenosha provided a stunning setting for these two to say, “I do!” Loved ones gathered for a joyful day of celebrating Nicole and Ed’s love story. From former colleagues at True Value to true love, it was a joy to unite this wonderful couple in marriage.

Enjoy a few excerpts from their ceremony below.

Today, in the presence of these witnesses, surrounded by love, Ed and Nicole, are ready to be united as one family. Also sending their love and blessings to this union today are those unable to attend and those gone before us, especially both the bride and groom’s grandparents. Know that they are watching over this union with love and joy. And your sweet fur baby, Charlie. He wishes he could be here to celebrate with you.

When you look back at where this all began, as coworkers in 2012, it’s been a remarkable and beautiful journey to get to this- the moment that starts your forever- your wedding day! As colleagues turned friends, you found true love at True Value. May the beautiful and humble beginnings of your love story form the impermeable cornerstone of a lifetime of love.

Your love is wonderfully precious, and this poem touches upon this sentiment:

A soul mate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soul mate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. Our soul mate is the one who makes life come to life. -A BRIDGE ACROSS FOREVER by Richard Bach

Ed and Nicole, soul mates you are…your singular roads have merged, and there is now solid ground that was always designed just for you two to walk side by side and journey onward together.

Continue to do all those things that have made your courtship fun and always be gratefully aware of this incredible person at your side that is dedicated to figuring out life with you.

Ed and Nicole shared numerous reasons why they love each other, but I’m going to quote their most basic sentiments.

Nicole said, “Ed makes me laugh, even when I don’t want to.”

Ed said, “I like doing everything with her.”

While those actions alone don’t solve every hardship of a marriage, they are an excellent foundation. Time and circumstances can clutter our perspectives. Bring it back to the basics- laugh and go through everything together.

Vows

Do you, Ed and Nicole, vow to take the other for all they are today and all they are yet to become? I do.

Ed and Nicole, do you promise to spend your days loving and supporting each other with kindness, respect, and appreciation? I do.

Do you promise to have faith in your love for each other through all your years together and all that life may bring you? I do.

Ed and Nicole, you’re in a club now- an exclusive club for two. And you seal your membership with the exchanging of rings.

Ed and Nicole, you commit to your marriage and to each other with the exchange of these rings. Their circular shape symbolizes your unending commitment. These rings are a constant reminder of your partner’s presence in the world.

These are the hands of your best friend, full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. May these hands strongly, proudly, lovingly bear these rings and forever hold each other.

Ed and Nicole, may you always be each other’s greatest adventure.

Cheers to Ed & Nicole and a lifetime of love!
