Silva-Grissom Wedding

wedding officiant

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you for the first time and for always, Mr. and Mrs. Grissom!

On a warm and bright fall day, Adam and Carli united in marriage on the picturesque golf course at Bristol Oaks. Their fantastic celebration of a lifetime continued on the terrace and in the ballroom. It was a joyful honor for me to officiate their beautiful wedding.

Enjoy a few excerpts from their ceremony below.

Today, in the presence of these witnesses, Adam and Carli are ready to be united as one family. It makes me so happy to officiate this union.

Adam and Carli have known each other for a long time. They first met at 17 and even tried to make things work back then, but something was missing. Carli likes to say that missing piece was Addy.

Six years ago, life gave them another chance, and what a blessing it has been. Reconnecting brought them exactly where they were meant to be- back in each other’s lives, building the family and love they always dreamed of.

Adam said, “Carli is my best friend and, honestly, she puts up with me better than anyone else could. She keeps me laughing, keeps me grounded, and makes our little family complete. She’s definitely my person.”

Carli said, “From the moment we met, Adam has been my safe place. I love that his words are always backed by actions. His love for all his girls- me, Addy, our dog, and our cat- melts my heart. With him, I feel confident and secure in his love. It’s sincere, steady, and it makes me so happy.”

This lovely couple has built a beautiful life together boating and traveling and enjoying every day. In December of 2022, on a sunset boat ride in the Florida Keys, Adam surprised Carli with an epic proposal. It is with immense joy that today is the glorious day they finally become husband and wife.

Adam and Carli, you are about to say ‘I do.’

Three little letters. Two little words.

It is the simplest part of this day; however, there is nothing simple about the things that will remain unsaid.

‘I do’ means I do not know the future, but I am ready to be your partner through whatever lies ahead.

Do you, Adam and Carli, vow to take the other as your partner for life? I do.

Adam and Carli, do you promise to spend your days loving and supporting each other through sickness and health, through wealth and trials, through joy and pain? I do.

Do you promise to appreciate and grow with each other? I do.

There is one more symbolic act of unity that is important for Adam and Carli. Beyond the words, beyond the rings, there is one more thing that binds them for life: Tequila!

You may not realize it, but a good tequila is like a good marriage in several ways. Hear me out… A good tequila is thoughtfully crafted. Those creating it put forth their time and effort to make something they are proud of. Tequila warms you from the inside. It eases your worries and gives you confidence. When the rest of the world may seem to be against you, tequila is there. Sometimes, tequila may give you a little bit of a headache, but, with some patience, you get over it. Tequila is always forgiven. Carli and Adam, be each other’s tequila. As you each pour a shot for each other, infuse it with the love, commitment, humor, and strength that you promise to bring to your marriage.

Now, audience participation is a must here. We will all countdown and yell, “Salud.” Ready? 3, 2, 1, SALUD!

To Adam and Carli and a lifetime of love! Salud!
