Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you with love: Mr. and Mrs. Romo!

Loved ones gathered for an intimate, lakeside ceremony to celebrate the love story of Tony and Brandi. From the sweetest groomsman dog ever that nailed all his cues to deeply meaningful personalized vows, heartfelt joy was abundant in every sweet moment for this wonderful couple. It was a lovely honor to get to know Tony and Brandi and to unite them in marriage.

Enjoy a few excerpts from this beautiful ceremony below.

Today, in the presence of these witnesses, Tony and Brandi are ready to be united as one family. Also sharing in the love today are those gone before us, especially Brandi’s dad, Jerry, and Tony’s grandparents, John Carlo and Maria. May we know in our hearts that they are watching over this union with joy.

Tony and Brandi’s love story is solidly built not only on love but on commitment, dedication, adoration, and pure meant-for-each-other goodness. It really is. To know each other for 14 years, to protect each other, lean on each other, heal each other, and to grow closer with each challenge put in your way, you two are blessed beyond measure.

It is only on God’s timeframe and according to God’s plan that people are placed into our lives. We will never know why it took so long and why you both had to endure so much, but the timing was finally right- and there you both were- placed with gentle perfection onto the same path. Somehow, everything that came before will have context because everything going forward will be appreciated in the depths of your souls. As challenging as it may have been to have faith in a happily ever after for yourselves, Tony and Brandi, your love story was waiting for you.

Before we met, you and I were halves unjoined except in the wide rivers of our minds. We were each other’s distant shore, the opposite wings of a bird, the other half of a seashell. We did not know the other then, did not know our determination to keep alive the cry of one riverbank to the other. We were apart, yet connected in our ignorance of each other, like two apples sharing a common tree. Remember?

I knew you existed long before you understood my desire to join my freedom to yours. Our paths collided long enough for our indecision to be swallowed up by the greater need of love. When you came to me, the sun surged towards the earth and moon escaped from darkness to bless the union of two spirits, so alike that the creator had designed them for life’s endless circle.

Beloved partner, keeper of my heart’s odd secrets, clothed in summer blossoms so the icy hand of winter never touches us. I thank your patience. Our joining is like a tree to earth, a cloud to sky and even more. We are the reason the world can laugh on its battlefields and rise from the ashes of its selfishness to hear me say, in this time, this place, this way– I loved you best of all. -Ancient Hawaiian Marriage Prayer by anon
