Kristina Ann Campbell

July 27th, 1945 – April 21st, 2025

*Author’s Note: The following excerpts in our “Life Stories” are from the Celebration of Life service for Kristina Ann Campbell for you to read, reflect, and pay your respects privately. It was an honor to help Kristina’s family pay tribute to her beautiful life. The lovely service included poems and sentiments shared by Kristina’s nieces, Nicole and Kristine, and dear family member, Lauren. Kristina will be dearly missed by many.

All of us gather here today with broken hearts because Kristina is no longer a physical presence in our lives. We have a powerful sense of loss. Where we are experiencing her loss- a missing piece- Kristina is experiencing completeness- wholeness. May you know in your hearts that Kristina’s journey is complete, she is home now in the loving embrace of our Lord in heaven. She is reunited with the many loved ones she had been missing including her parents William and Delores, her brothers William and Jerry, her nephew Robert, and other family members and friends. She is surrounded by love.

And while the broken pieces of your heart will never quite be the same, know that Kristina would not want your heart to be troubled.

Kristina was known for her devotion and love for her family. She was a nurturing mother whose warmth touched the lives of everyone she met. The oldest of four, she was born and raised in Kenosha and graduated from Bradford High School in 1963.

Kristina was the proud mother of Jennifer and Thomas and stepmom to Brian and Christopher. She worked hard to provide a loving home and opportunities for her children. She passionately navigated life as a single parent with a strong work ethic and a big heart. Her kids said that their mom always did her very best to balance work and parenthood, and she did everything she could do for her kids to thrive. She chaperoned school activities and always found ways to be involved. She was over-the-moon thrilled to be a grandma, and she especially doted on her precious love bug Maya.

Kristina valued family visits and cherished moments with her core group of friends. Gift giving was her love language, and if you came to her house, she always had some sort of gift for you- probably something Avon. She even has gifts here for you today. Be sure to grab an item from the table!

Kristina loved decorating for Christmas and holidays. She was talented at crocheting and ceramics. She would make afghans, baby blankets, wash cloths, hats, and scarves for school children and other charities. Her ceramic Santa decorations became collector items amongst the family with bits of envy as to who received which limited edition item.

In 2008, Kristina embraced retirement after serving several years as a Dallas and Mavis Specialized Carriers payroll specialist.

Kristina put the needs of others first and saw the best in everyone. She was occasionally sassy but always brought lots of laughs. Even up until the end, her caregivers loved her sass and her wit. With her creativity, charm, and good counsel, she made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

It does feel like Kristina’s 79 years went by way too quickly. While no length of time with our loved ones will ever seem long enough, know that it was an absolute blessing to have had Kristina present on this earth for almost 8 decades. Her time here and her time spent with each of you was a precious gift. When your world is feeling a little too empty, may you fill it with gratitude that your time here overlapped with Kristina’s and that you were blessed to know her.

I invite you to share the memories, share the love today and in the days and years to come so that Kristina’s legacy may endure. Embrace and share with others her qualities that you love and miss so much. Spend time with your family, hand make a gift for a loved one, cheer on the Packers and Cubs, and remember Kristina.

Kristina will be forever loved and missed by her daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Alex, her son Thomas and his fiancé Ashley, her granddaughter Maya, her sister Leslie, her stepsons Brian and Christopher and their families, and many other dear family members and friends.

Kristina, may you rest in eternal peace knowing you are dearly loved.

My sincere condolences and love, Holly
