After many years of meeting with families to plan at-need funeral services, Holly realized she could help loved ones long before a family member passed away. When planning a funeral service, a family is asked to recall facts and memories. Some basic facts of where a person lived, what are the names of their siblings, where did that person get married, what was their college degree or military rank, and what was the person’s middle name are often a challenge for families to answer with confidence. Then, there are the details of that person’s stories that have faded with time or that the family can’t seem to agree on.

A helpful add-on service is having the obituary pre-written. Knowing your family’s treasured facts and stories are secure for future generations is comforting. Let’s begin!
I’ll customize a package just for you!
This pre-need service includes a 30-minute client meeting (in-person, phone or virtual) as well as the client completing an online information form. Holly will then custom write an obituary up to 500-words. A draft will be digitally sent to the client. Revision requests made within seven days of the draft being sent will be included in the final draft. Final draft will be digitally sent to the client and is released for the client’s personal use. This writing service does NOT include publication of the obituary in any print or online media outlet. Timeline can be sped up to accommodate at-need services. Customized pricing for obituaries over 500 words. If virtual meetings, online forms, and emails aren’t your speed, Holly can make in-person accommodations for clients in the SE Wisconsin/NE Illinois area. This service begins at $175.
YOUR Story of A Lifetime
For retirements, birthdays, tributes, memorials, and more! YOUR Life Story project will be completely customized!
Holly is a Life & Legacy Professional Writer and loves customizing these heartfelt projects to fit each family’s needs and goals. A Life Story session typically includes a relaxed, conversational interview between Holly and the leading character of the story. Sessions can be split up over multiple days to help make the experience enjoyable and to spark different memories. Add-on sessions are available to delve deeper into certain stories or to meet with other members of the family. From all the information gathered, Stories of A Lifetime crafts a life tribute story that covers the details and anecdotes that were shared. The family receives a digital copy and also a professionally printed copy in spiral bound booklet form. Additional booklets may be ordered. Stories of A Lifetime can even curate photo slideshows and tribute videos to accompany the stories. Holly ensures that this will be a personalized experience with a customized finished product. These projects are such a treasure for families! It is an honor to create these gifts of a lifetime for others.
