Frederick Wedding
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you for always: Mr. & Mrs. Frederick!
On a gorgeous Friday afternoon in July, Justin and Madalynn celebrated their love and secured their union surrounded by their family and closest friends. The country venue at Stein Farms provided all in attendance with a relaxed and private escape for the day. Guests walked along a beautiful nature path and across a wooden bridge to a small island. There, nestled amongst the tall shady trees, was the couple’s serene ceremony setting. The wedding programs designed as hand-held fans were used and appreciated by all on the hot summer day. The heat was nothing in comparison to the love and joy of witnessing these two beautiful souls unite in marriage. Justin and Madalynn blend together with ease, understanding, and adoration of each other. What a wonderful blessing it was to have helped them celebrate their unique love story and their celebration of love!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Madalynn’s birthday party!! Aaaand Justin and Madalynn’s Wedding Ceremony!
There is nothing greater in this world than finding the people with whom we feel safe, secure, and most ourselves. We search to find the person most accepting of our flaws; even the ones we try not to show until at least the 5th date. We search to find the person most encouraging of our dreams. Most of all, we search to find the person who loves us so unconditionally we simply can’t do anything but believe it.
Little did Justin and Madalynn know that their search didn’t need to go much further than English class at Tremper High School. Remember that English class, the one where Justin just wanted to copy Madalynn’s homework? Well, she let him, and neither thought much of it. During their college years they ran into each other with friends at a classic Kenosha reunion spot- Sunnyside, and neither thought much of it. Post college, seemingly random circumstances placed these two in a carpool together to Madison to meet friends, and neither thought much of it. That weekend, however, after all those years and all those opportunities, Madalynn and Justin finally began to think something of it.
We are truly blessed with how people are placed in our lives according to God’s plan and most especially according to God’s timeframe. The timing was finally right for love to grow between Justin and Madalynn, and they already knew that they could feel safe and secure with each other, and that Madalynn would do the homework. Seriously, though, the foundation of their teamwork was strong. Neither would ever let the other fail.
When I met with this couple for dinner to get to know them more, they both explained repeatedly that, “we are a team.” From everything they said, their mannerisms, explanations, and actions, I have to concur: they are a strong, beautiful, committed team.
They have formed a blessed and blended family with Justin’s son, Jax. They have rescued a puppy together, Bera. They bought a home together. They’ve rolled with the yearlong postponement of their original 2020 wedding plans. They survived their new pandemic-induced work-from-home situation by giving each other their own workspace but meeting in the kitchen every day for lunch. Their love has been tested, and together they pass each test with flying colors. Justin and Madalynn believe in their love as do all of us gathered today to witness their marriage. As they go forth on their life journey together, they do so with confidence knowing that their search was successful.

On Your Wedding Day, poem read by Madalynn’s niece Brianna
Today is a day you will always remember
The greatest in anyone’s life
You’ll start off the day just two people in love
And end it as Husband and Wife
It’s a brand new beginning the start of a journey
With moments to cherish and treasure
And although there’ll be times when you both disagree
These will surely be outweighed by pleasure
You’ll have heard many words of advice in the past
When the secrets of marriage were spoken
But you know that the answers lie hidden inside
Where the bond of true love lies unbroken
So live happy forever as lovers and friends
It’s the dawn of a new life for you
As you stand there together with love in your eyes
From the moment you whisper ‘I do’
And with luck, all your hopes, and your dreams can be real
May success find its way to your hearts
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys
But today is the day it all starts!

Tree Planting
We are now going to take some symbolic “action” and combine soil and plant a tree. Justin and Madalynn, the solemn words spoken today will make your union official. Through the planting of your marital tree, you will truly solidify this special bond.
(Justin and Madalynn each received a small jar containing soil. A sapling to be planted at their home was in a pot between them.)
In your hands you each hold a vessel of soil. Let this sample of earth represent your soul, your body, your being. Everything you are, and everything you will become is contained inside. With this in mind, prepare now to share this soil with your partner – a symbolic melding of your individual spirits at the base of your marital tree. When you combine your individual vessels of soil, you give this tree a strong foundation to call home. As this tree grows, so will your bond. With love and care, its trunk will become tall and its branches strong – capable of withstanding any hardship. Just as a tree weathers a storm, so shall your marriage endure any challenge.

The love you two share is a beautiful blessing. May God be with you on your life journey together. May your love grow and through strength, unity, and time be a blessing not only onto yourselves but onto your families and the world around you. May the Lord help you to stay connected in any adversity and to treasure and protect your marriage. May those of us present here, as your family and friends, commit to uphold and encourage you to the best of our ability. May we all express abundant thankfulness for our friendships, our health, and our precious time. Please bless this evening and let this reception be a treasured experience that this couple holds in their hearts forever. Amen.
